Question: Do I need a specific radiator coolant for my 2002 xterra?

are there still two kinds of anti-freeze? or have they all come down to one now ? Just bout my xterra and need to add a little coolant to it, and want to make sure I add the right stuff, thanks.

there are a few things you can do here.
1. Ask the dealership where you bought it, or a Nissan dealer which is appropriate
2. Take off the radiator cap and determine the color...and buy the same color.
3. Buy a repair guide, it will tell you the correct coolant in the Coolant and Heating section
4. Ask a mechanic
5. Ask someone from O'Reilly's, AutoZone, etc.

in areas with a colder winter climate will have a different coolant than ones in a warmer climate. you could also ask a mechanic which would be best if you want to change from what you currently have.
