Question: new starter and electrical wires
My starter shorted out and fried some wires (smoke, melting, etc.) going to the battery. I got an estimate for a new starter and wiring for $426. Is this accurate?

Hi, I work with DriverSide, and I checked some numbers, and I think that sounds about right.
We will be publishing full Pre-Service Reports for the Corolla very shortly, but I was able to access numbers for a very similar car for the same repair. That suggested that the starter replacement should be around $410.
