Question: Possible transmission/torque convertor issues
I have a 91 F-150 XLT Lariat with the 5.0 302ci EFI engine. Was driving down the road a week ago around 35mph and I heard a loud grinding noise. Next thing I know I have no gears. Truck only has 65,000 original miles on it. It sat in a driveway for over 10 years before I got it. The engine runs great. Just wondering what issue this could be. Was told by a mechanic friend that it could be the torque convertor but he doesn't know for sure without looking.
