Question: What is making a banging sound in the differential?

When turning in the right direction there is a banging hit on the driver's side rear. It feels like something is breaking or trying to snap. I recently replace the axles and seals about a year ago with Royal purple synthetic 75w-140. Should I get a used rear end from the junk yard or buy a new one?
